Soil health testing has been a hot topic for the last several years. However, limited data or guidance seems to exist for Southern Idaho and the semi-arid west. This talk will cover several large projects that have evaluated soil health metrics, such as the Haney test, active C, and aggregate stability, under a wide range of management practices in Southern Idaho. Key takeaways will include guidance on how and when to test for soil health metrics as well as how to interpret results.
